I was excited to move into Willow Lake Apts. since there was a nice hottub, pool, fitness center, carwash, etc. However, the negatives FAR outweigh the positive amenitities offered. Besides, they got rid of the hot tub after I had lived here for 1.5 yrs. b/c they said the gas bill was too high. Why' They don't make enough money here with the $5/mo. rent raise they just imposed' Again....' The management staff has no respect or regard for the tenants and do not value long-time residents. This is unusual since most apartment complexes value residents who have stayed for extended lengths of time, thus contributing money to their business. The leasing office staff ladies are always too busy to take the time to smile or make you feel valued or important. They treat you like you are an imposition and a bother in the middle of their busy day. Jessica Sears, especially, has been rude and offensive to both myself and my boyfriend on numerous occasions and we dread having to interact with her when we need to speak with someone in the office. She has a nasty disposition and ought to be grateful to have a job because most employers would not put up with her repulsive attitude, facial gestures and judgemental manneurisms towards others. The maintenance staff is friendly for the most part; however, they do not share the roads well with residents. They are slow to move their golf carts out of the way of traffic. Just the other day, one of the maintenance men was parked in the middle of the street talking to a man in the road and I was driving down the street. My SUV could not fit through the road. I had to stop and sit and wait for him to finish his conversation until he drove his golf cart away until I could drive the rest of the way to my appartment for the evening. He saw me coming, as I made eye contact with him-his cart and my vehicle were facing each other. Rude. The work orders for maintenance is a joke. It takes multiple trips to get anything fixed and fixed right. It's never right the first time. All of my kitchen drawers have been off-track since I moved in, and my icemaker was nonfunctioning they day I moved in. The office staff's solution: we can take it out for you so that you can have some more freezer space. Oh, great. The fitness center is consistently out of towels and I got flat warts all over my hands because the machines are never bleached down by the maintenance staff. That is disgusting. (they have since been removed, but I have not returned to the fitness center) During the winter storms, it took forever for our spots to be cleared in the parking lot and the salt sprinkled over the icy sidewalk was nothing short of skimpy. My dog and I both slipped and fell after coming down our stairs when we came outside-ridiculous. Our fireplace leaks water. If you call to ask for a spotlight lightbulb to be replaced, be prepared to wait a couple of months--we have just paid out of pocket to replace any lightbulbs that have gone out since we've lived here b/c it's not worth it to wait for the staff to get around to it. Plus, on a couple of occasions, they have installed "recycled" bulbs that went out just days after being installed-ridiculous! For what we pay to live here, we should be treated like royalty and respected and treated kindly-or at least as if our business is appreciated. We are looking forward to our move and hope that our online submission of the review of this apartment complex will deter others from renting here. We are sorry that we wasted our money and time in this money pit.

Hi! I would like to comment on this review are you sure you have the right person? Jessica Sears has always shown great customer service and this is out of her character for what has been described. There is not one office staff that I know of that does not smile and I am in the resident community center every day using the computer, I had a $25 increase on my rent but the office staff only did what they were told to do.Just reading some of thses comments I believe that maybe someone was having a bad day and trust me I have bad days but me as a resident here at Willow Lake I am satisfied with everything. Sometimes work orders don't get done in 1 day but it usually dont take long for my maintenance to take care of work orders that I have called in.I will not let the negative comments interrupt my confidence in Willow Lake because they are awesome to me and my husband.

I can respect the opinion of the original author about the experience while living here at Willow Lake. However, the expressions that were negatively directed to Jessica Sears is as far as east is from west -they simply don't connect. I have worked with Jessie for almost a year now, and she has displayed the highest level of customer service, professionalism, and courtesy that I have seen ??? She is awesome! She is wonderful to work with, and wonderful to watch in action. Her enthusiasm and genuineness is always refreshing; and it's no secret - she loves Willow Lake and especially our resident's, and would welcome any resident that is unhappy to speak with her directly, and if it is within her control to make matters right ??? She always will. It has been my pleasure to work with her.

Sincerely,

Nicole Williamson

I don't know Jessica Sears, but I do know Nicole Williamson, and I can tell you that she's about as worthless as they come. She's the black hole into which all our maintenance requests disappear and I trust her about as far as I can throw her. What does she mean that Jessica is "wonderful to watch in action?" She's a friggin leasing agent at this dump! What could be so damn difficult about her job? Obviously the requirements are pretty low.
