I have lived at Willow Lake Apartments for about 7 months and will be buying out of my lease. The apartments are nice for the most part and offer more space than other apartments in the area. The problems we have experieced are with the service and follow thru of the staff. When we moved in we had a walk through with one of the leasing agents and pointed out a few items that were in need of repaired, including a guest toilet that was not secured to the ground so it rocked when it was sat on and a shower knob that leaked a lot of water when the hot water was turned on. Nothing to bad but stuff that should have been taken care of. We noted the items on our move in form and were assured that someone would be by to fix it soon. Nothing happend and when we went to follow up they acted as if they had not heard of the problem before that. I will mention that the problems were fixed after visiting the office the second time.
Since then we have had several problems with our microwave. I must mention the microwave looks like something from the '80s. First the handle broke off which we mentioned to the office about 4 months ago when they told us they were waiting on the part. And finally it stopped working all together. The office was notified about the microwave three weeks ago and told us we should have a new microwave in a week. We still have no microwave nor have we heard from the office to apologize for the inconvience. So now we have to complain and hassle them again to fix the problem. My guess is that we will not have a microwave before we move out.
When I moved into Willow Lakes Apartments I expected more since we were paying more than other area apartments but I have been disappointed. My advise is to not spend the extra money for Willow Lakes. Or if you do just hope you do not need to deal with the office for anything.

I work for the complex and for couple weeks have been the only tech due to someone quitting and I can say I have done a pretty good job keeping up the work orders..even with all the snow we got. I am pretty sure that I know this unit and person...So if I am right this person assured me he was moving because he bought a house and his only concern was he wouldn't be charged for these issues. I am also pretty sure this persons real problem is his buy out to his lease and what it cost. You can't break a lease without high penalties. His few instances didn't warrant any concessions, so this is his way to strike back. You don't buy a house in the middle of a lease. I will do everything possible to get his microwave in the next couple days.

You are assuming a lot. The buyout fee is not a concern. A fee is expected when we are breaking a contract and honestly the fee is quite fair in comparison to other places. The concern was following up with what we are told. We were told when we moved in that the issues would be taken care of and they weren't. We had to go back and ask again. We were told we would have a microwave over two weeks ago and we have not gotten one. I am giving my opinion of what I expected when I moved in and what service I expected with the amount of rent we are paying. These expectations have not been meant and that is a fair review of this apartment complex. We are not striking back. I did not know it was customary for the staff to argue back about a validity of a complaint rather than try to make someone happy.
