This place isn't so bad..

I wrote the review titled "This place is a joke" and since then my maintenance needs have been fixed, the lack of parking has been addressed by management, and the issue with cigarette smoke has been taken seriously. While the appliances are still older and may be more prone to needing repair, the office and maintenance staff seem to be working hard at keeping this place in good shape. I am still not sure if it's worth what I pay, but I am definitely more pleased with how my needs have been met.

I completely agree with you. The office staff there is really rude. Just a precaution when you move out. They charged us for not returning the garage opener although we specifically did it. I feel sorry for the tenants there.

Do you mind if I ask what type of unit you were in? Was it a 1 bedroom or loft? The reason being is that I am moving there and I too have problems with allergies and cigarette smoke and don't want to move into that type of unit if smoke drifts in that easily.

Yeah, they sound like lazy bastards. Apartment communities need to do something about that. In other states, like California, many places have completely non-smoking buildings, even inside the tenants own apartment because of that crap.
Looks like when someone complains on here, the staff gets on here to counteract it. Wonder if the lazy bastards will speak up on this one...
Oh, lazy bastards, are you listening?

Most of the work requests I needed done were addressed right at my move-in with the staff member who moved me in. She assured me that she would get them fixed quickly, yet none of the requests were fixed. I had to put some of the work orders in three different times. I understand you guys are busy and the few encounters I've had with you I have not had any issues. My issue is mainly with the staff member who moved me into an apartment with several things that didn't work from the start. With the amount of rent I pay here I feel that I should be able to move into an apartment and not spend the first 3 months worrying about getting stuff fixed.

I work Maint here and your right the items you mention should been taken care of at move in. you have put in several requests and all but fans have been address..we can't control people who smoke in their apts and Fair Housing doesn't allow us to steer or make units available for different type or needs of people.we have gone to great lengths to ensure staff, contractors and your neighbors aren't smoking in back hallways...your review is a mask by something else going on besides these issues...you saw the model which had same appliances (70's)Yet you choose to live her...AS to you JUMPY JIMMY JERK...this is not CA and is not your business unless you live here or know someone who has or does, futher more because you may not had a legal father don't assume we didn't..For the record (June) we ran 395 work orders no time to be lazy...

They always try to say something else is going on besides the apartment and this is the issue. Isn't it cute how they become mini PhDs overnight? Ha. I've had great apartments and horrible ones and I can assure you the "issues" were completely due to the apartment. What's next? Apartment shrinks? he, he, he
and that fair housing stuff is a load of crap because there are places in Indiana that maintain non smoking units-you just have to maintain them always and not flip flop.

Chop off their nuts. Make them choose between a cigarette or testicles. That'll take care of it!

you're all a bunch of whiners, with nothing better to do then get online and complain about anything and everything you can think of....have any of you EVER left a positive response on a website or blog? and he's absolutely right about the fair housing guidelines, a leasing consultant would be accused of discrimination asking prospects if they smoke!
