Loved Willow Lake!

What can I say' I wish I could move back! My fiance and i spent a lot of time looking for the perfect apartment in Indianapolis. Willow Lake was the one! It was the best for the price and the landscaping was always beautiful. The little waterfall over the gazebo in the pool area was the best, and there were never too many kids at the pool - or running around the complex for that matter. Yes, the fitness center is kind of small, but there were never too many people down there at one time. We did read reviews before we moved in, which helped us decide that we wanted a second level apartment. The staff, especially Jessica, was always kind and made us feel at home. Whenever we did have a problem, or something needed fixed, it was done so in a timely manner. Even after hours, maitenance showed up within 20 mins, which is good taken into consideration that they may not live on grounds. We did have someone with us at move in who walked around the apartment with us and noted imperfections so that we wouldn't get charged for them when we moved out. I would suggest that if you want to avoid having any problems that you do request a second level apartment. I only say that becuase the neighbors below us almost always had maitenance there to fix something. Some of the tiles don't match becuase they've had to be replaced, and they are always doing things to improve the asthetics of the grounds. The only real problems we had while living there were the big bees that burrowed into the stairs leading up to our apartment, the occasional spider web right in front of our door (that i would walk through when leaving for work), the light in front of our door going out (a lot), and the freak of nature flood that happened in front of my building in the parking lot when the storm drain was covered - which flooded my car and the cars of at least 4 others. We didn't have any problems moving out. We made sure that it was spotless; no dust, do dirt, no spots, we patched any holes from things we had hanging on the walls, cleaned the air vents and ceiling fans, windows - literally everything. We recieved our full deposit in the mail within two weeks of moving out. We did have two cats, and still no problems. I would recommend this place to anyone as long as they live on the second floor. We would move back in a heart beat if work wasn't 3 hours away!
