Invasion of Privacy and Unsafe!!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/25/2003 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2002   We moved to Waterford Village in the fall of 1999 and things started off ok. Then a month later, things started going south. First our air conditioning didn't work, we turned in several work orders, and 1 year later, they came out to fix it after we threatened to go to the Corporate Office in Ohio. Then we transferred to another apartment because of the increased gang and drug activity in front of our apartment building. The day we signed the new lease and began moving in, the new apartment building had roaches, silverfish, earwigs, spiders, wasps, bees, ants, and fleas. The apartment had not been cleaned, the screen door was broken, and the cable cord was pulled up from under the carpet. We called the office and they refused to give us a new apartment (due to disgusting living conditions) because we had signed a lease for that apartment and was stuck there until the lease ended. We had to treat the apartment ourselves (because they refused to send an exterminator). Then our apartment was entered (unlawfully) by the new property manager and maintenance and they stole several blank checks from the office desk and spliced our home phone to the vacant apartment underneath ours. He (the property manager) said that there was nothing that we could do without evidence (eventhough we had witnesses). Our vehicles were vandelized, our phone calls were being monitored, and we were being eavesdropped on through the hollow walls and the attic above our apartment. The drug/gang activity increased on property and there were threats of drive by shootings from rival gangs. Living there was HELL! We bought out of our lease and moved out a month early. DO NOT LIVE THERE, NOT EVEN IN DESPERATION.
