We've had these little red ants in our apartment since we moved in. We just came in to look at the place before we started moving to check the place out, and there were ants, but we were desperate, and only had a short time to move. Our neighbor's apartment was broken into a few months after we moved in, and the management tried to evict them, and told them that the break-in was their own fault. Nothing has ever been fixed from day one. We only had a few concerns to put on that little checklist they give you when you move in. The water in our shower didn't get hot, there were ants, our refrigerator made a really, really bad sounding noise. We never were able to open our bedroom window because the screen was ripped when we moved in and never replaced. There were a couple other minor things, but none were ever addressed. After a week of hounding the front office to get someone out to fix our shower, we got tired of taking cold showers and I took the matter into my own hands and figured out that the thermostat on the tub faucet wasn't turned up high enough. I went up to the office after that to tell them about another problem that we were having and they asked us about the tub problem and they were like "Wow, you fixed it yourself, good for you". When I feel like they should have been saying something more like, "We are so sorry no one ever came out, we will figure out what happened, and it won't happen again". The biggest issue other than the massive amount of ants we've had the whole entire time we've been here was the fact that our air conditioner didn't work when it came time to turn it on. We went up to tell them and they put us on a WAITING LIST for people who were having a/c issues. The problem ended up being that the roofers had thrown all kinds of debris allover our back patio and our a/c unit, severing the very fine electrical connection that goes from our thermostat to the a/c unit. Well, since we went almost 3 months without air conditioning, my husband had to take it upon himself to twist the exposed wires together so that we could have air conditioning. My neighbor spent the entire summer with no air conditioning because they told her that their unit needed to be replaced completely, and it was never done.
I wouldn't recommend living here unless you are someone that really want to be left alone and you are a do-it-yourselfer, or like us, you are in a pinch. As long as we paid our rent on time we didn't have to worry about anyone bothering us. We are getting ready to move, and we couldn't be happier to get the heck out of here!

Below I'm putting the specifics on their pet policy, but they basically didn't care because we have 3 cats and a dog, and never have gotten any complaint, and our neighbor had 2 wonderfully friendly pit bulls and they never got in trouble or anything even though they didn't pay rent on them.

This is a horendous place- I have contacted JVM Realty Dan Naheurt who was not only no help but has poor customer service skills. Maintenance is usually frustrating with apartment complexes, but they really abuse the stereotype. They could have at least given you a discount for fixing stuff on your own. Funny that you had ants- spiders were the huge issue, maybe I should have brought my spiders over to eat your ants! lol
