I stayed with a friend there and Woodridge is ghetto with a capital "G"! Woodridge is HOOD. We are both sitting here writing this review. The office probably doesn't even know what kind of people who's even living there. There are people there that stay there with their friends or family members(not on lease because of a felony), and they are off the chain! They dumped trash out of their rides and into the parking lot. They took up the parking spaces all the time. They smoked weed in their apts and people kept coming in and out all hours of the night. Their guests stared you down. Their music was always loud in their rides and apt. We saw many fights and arguments in the building and the parking lot. I caught a couple of dudes who were guests that stayed there that would look in peoples cars. They all either have a white guest pass or a green one so that their ride won't get towed. Woodridge pays your gas and electric bills if you don't switch it over yourself. One person in the building told us that some people had lived at Woodridge for months and didn't switch gas and electric over into their names! We were also told of some people who's apt was robbed. They said that burgulary is common at Woodridge. There's nothing to do there! The basketball and tennis court was messed up. We were going to use the pool last summer while we were there and as soon as we saw who and what was there we got back in the car and went back to the apt. We didn't swim there at all! They also don't have high speed internet, but could have swore that the leasing lady told us that they did have it. The apt needed work on it. We went to the office one time and entered on the leasing side. We overheard a black lady with short hair and big eyes talking on the phone and it sounded like she was taking a work order. We would see the same black lady talking outside on a cell phone during business hours. Well, s soon as she hung the phone up we heard her trash the person who called and said something about not doing work in the apt! She was laughing and trash talking to a girl with blonde hair and a heavy woman with brown hair came around from the back and was also talking about the person on the phone. We then knew NOT to call the office for anything and we didn't after witnessing that! We decided to contact the office in person and not over the phone. The bald headed black maintenance guy acted like he didn't want to do any work when he came to fix something. We would see and hear him talking and gossiping to certain residents in our building. He seems to like to cause trouble. We also saw him huddled up with certain people from other buildings too instead of working. We have seen him in his black truck talking to people instead of working. He's the only black maintenance guy and the rest of the guys are mexican. The mexican guys couldn't speak english and we couldn't understand what they were saying most of the time. We also had a spider and centipede problem and to keep from dealing with those Woodridge people we bought bug spray. The manager is someone named Lisa, but we never saw her there like most managers. She didn't have a presence in the community which would explain why Woodridge was in the shape that it's in. The kids would run up and down the stairs all the time. They played in the hallways and run in and out of the building all day. The kids rode their bikes and trikes out in the middle of the street unsupervised. One day on my way home, I just stopped and looked around just to see if I could spot a parent, and nobody was outside watching their kids. Some of these kids look like they are around 5 or 6 years old and they are already hittin the streets. We can't blame the kids because there ain't much for them to do there neither. We found out that someone we know rented a JVM apt, and they had big problems there too. Woodridge is from JVM so we tell everyone to not rent from JVM!

ok well do anybody know of apartments that accept section 8 in indianapolis that are good? because every last one that i'm interested in has really bad reviews. section 8 is suppose to be a step up from public assistance and these reviews are horrible. please help because i am not from the area.

You won't find any place that is "Nice" that accepts section 8. But to the main post i couldn't agree more. My friends lived here and i refused to spend the night because i was afraid my car would be stolen. The only reason they started parking passes because they thought it would help with the drug dealers spending the night in their friends apartment.

There are nice places in indianapolis that take section 8. Nice homes also. So that statement was not true Anyone wanting section 8 property , go in the evenings and ride around where you are moving and check it out first! then go in the office and see the staff and send someone else to do it on weekends then you will know what you are up against before moving and ask the tenants go knock on a few doors and ask, JUST DO NOT MOVE IN JVM ever they are the worst, STEPHON BOULDIN HAS A CRIMINAL CITY WIDE DRUG RECORD and more. Just look before moving if they act like JVM look elswhere anyone on section 8 reading this DO NOT MOVE IN JVM properties that is woodridge and more in the city , view thier website and do not move in any!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON SECTION 8 TO BEGIN WITH? Stop having kids, get a damn job, and pay your bills! That is the problem with you C U N T S, you feel the government owes you for having kids and over populating the fukkin planet! You are going to live the ghetto if you have section 8! As far as the lady who just signed a lease, why didn't you read about this place BEFORE you signed a lease!? DUH!! DON'T KNOCK ON OTHER PEOPLE'S DOORS, that's a good way to get shot!
