When I first looked at the apartment building, it looked pretty nice. But this was before other people started moving in. Within the first month of living there, a white guy who lived across the hall was arrested for beating his pregnant girlfiend. Shortly thereafter, a black couple moved in next door with a baby. The girl seemed nice but I think the guy was a drug dealer due to influx of people into their apartment at night and the smell of marijuana. There was also an old crazy lady who lived in the building who got into screaming matches at night with this couple. The guy across the hall was evicted and some asian woman moved in with a dog. She keeps the dog in the storage room and apparently lets the dog urinate everywhere because the whole hallway smells like dog piss. There is a washer and dryer on the bottom floor with nowhere to sit. I never used it because I thought someone might steal my clothes.

My apartment was remodeled. It had new carpet and appliances. About 4 months into the lease, I hear mice in the ceiling. I asked the staff 3 times in two months to send in pest control. At this time, summer comes and I find that my AC doesn't work. I compain again but after a week of 90 degree temp in my apartment, I send a letter threatening to move out. Aparently this motivated the staff to send out maintance and pest control. But the mice had already chewed a hole in my ceiling which maintance did not fix. Now my apartment smells funny probably due to the mouse poop and pee.

The most annoying part about living there was the traffic noise from 70. I didn't notice it when I viewed the apartment but it gets to you.

All in all, this place is cheap and in a location to get downtown quickly. Office staff is friendly but not helpful. I would only recommend this place to those who are looking for a cheap place and aren't worried about safety and noise.

I live here, and I can't wait to move out when my lease is up. I was told, that they were in the renovation stage, and that there was going to be a lot of changes done to the hallways, and mailboxes, along with painting and new carpet in the halls. I have yet to see any of these changes. The only change I see is the new balconies, that were rebuilt. The neighbors in my building are nasty, loud, and most of all theives. I will never wash clothes here again. I will tell anyone, who is interested in living here to think twice, unless you like the ghetto.

I have been looking for a home for about a month and I cannot locate anything. I finally ran across a community off of Rockville rd & highschool road and I was totally amaze of the staff. The property can use some touch ups, but the homes that I saw are really nice. I asked the young girl about the property and she stated that the property was built in 67/68 and that they have renvoated several homes. I look at a model that was set up nicely, but had concerns about the older cabinets. She took me to a home that has new cabinets and I loved it. I filled out my application and never once thought about it. I have lived here at Covington Square for about a month. I was given my address and all went smooth. If you are looking for a new home, I would check out Covington square. They are cleaning up the property and the new staff takes no riff raff as I heard the manager is very strict and all rules must be followed. I thought at first I was in prison, but when I thought about it I understood completely. Maintenance on the other hand needs to be put in place. I moved in and our AC went out, and the maintenance guy came over and tried to give me a bunch of excuses. I went to the office and the manager had maintenance over withing a 1/2 hour and had it corrected. I'm telling you, they don't play games, if your looking for a nice home that is clean, rent is reasonable and a staff that cares. Get in touch with them. I referred my daughter and a few other friends that are also moving to the area.
