They'll tow your car without warning or cause!

On a Saturday night, they towed our car, without warning, from our portal that we paid for, and refused to accept responsibility for their actions, as did the security company who had it towed, as did the towing company. They all expected us to just lay down and pay $125 for a towing that should have never taken place! Their system is set up so that every one acts like they are exempt from responsibility. Each blames someone else. I wonder if it's a financial conspiracy among two if not all three of the parties. It sure appears that way. It's Tuesday now and we still don't have the car back yet. My car contained my work badge and I went to the towing company to get it back. I got no co-operation, only rudeness. The guy at the tow place told me I had to wait until the office help got there. I asked when that would be. He simply said he didn't know. He also told me that I couldn't go look for it. Never mind that it was mine and they were wrong to tow the vehicle anyway! I looked for my car anyway and found it.

The new policey at the complex requires residents to get a FREE parking permit from the office. Residents were warned back in January that cars would be towed if not tagged properly. I live in this complex and still see cars that aren't tagged. They had plenty of warning.

Nonsense. We had just gotten a second vehicle and had the pass. The night before, we had that terrible hail storm and moved one both of them into the car port - ours and the one next to it, which was vacant. The next day we left one vehicle in our port and ran an errand. We got back just 2 1/2 hours later and our car left in our port was gone. No warning, nothing. They should have had a record that we paid for that space and which vehicles were ours. We simply forgot to switch the permit from one vehicle to the other. That's not something you immediately tow for. And there's an update since my message. We were only told we would have to pay $125. We didn't have the money. By the time we got it on Thursday, we found out they charged more for every day the car was in there. We ended up having to pay $235! Is that punishment worth the "crime" of forgetting to switch the permit? I don't think so! Like I said, they should have had a record of which vehicles were authorized to park there. Furthermore, you didn't address the rudeness with which both the security company and the towing company treated us. You also didn't address the inherent flaw in the current system, in which each party - the apartment management, the security company and the towing company - exempts itself from any responsibilty for wrong doing. They desperately need a situation in which they have to work together to avoid doing things like this. You also failed to mention the appearance that there is a conspiracy among the apartment management, the security company and the towing company to tow as many vehicles as possible, using any flimsy excuse possible, for the three to all make money. We are moving out as soon as possible and are still pursuing action to get a full refund as well as get resolution from all of the parties involved. I'm also actively encouraging everyone to not do business with this place. |

You HAVE to have a tag for the CARPORT if you have it. Otherwise, they give 72 hour notice. I've seen lots of cars with those notices in my 2 years here

U might have to sue in small claims court. People like the towing company and apartments are just out to make money. They dont want to deal with logic and honest mistakes. They want to treat everyone like a rule-violating visitor and tow. More money that way.
