i am a current resident and have lived here for about 9 months.

i will just list things.

1. parking lots are pot-hole filled and are not taken care of. they paid to re-seal last year, but that doesn't do anything.

2. when i moved in, i filled out a list of things that were wrong with the apartment. the carpet is disgusting and has not been taken care of. there is a huge pet-stain in the closet that stinks. i've told them to fix it several times, but nothing. i can't even use that closet.

3. the screendoor doesn't fit the tracks. and they won't replace it, they just took a hammer to the frame to make it fit.

4. my bedroom window is drafty. they fixed that by sealing it shut. fire hazard.

5. the gutter outside has been missing for over a year, so i hear, and creates an extremely loud waterfall every time it rains.

6. my dishwasher was smoking once. they fixed that, it broke again about a month ago. i've called several times, but it has not been fixed.

7. my door frame is split from top to bottom. the door is drafty and could easily be broken into. hasn't been fixed.

8. the seal job around the bathtub is a joke.

9. i cleaned out my own sink drain, and the pipes are rusty and old.

10. my thermostat is broken. it doesn't shut off when it hits your set temperature. this is very inconvenient and greatly increases the electric bill. has not been fixed.

11. there is a leak in the living room register. must be from badly insulated pipes. this is a HUGE concern and has not been dealt with for about a month and a half. there is an obvious outline around it where it has been repaired (poorly) once before. there is a brown stain from the new leak. i wake up sick almost every morning. probably due to mold that is circulated through the apartment from this leak. this is becoming costly, missing work, doctor, medicine, etc.

12. DRUG DEALERS. across the hall, down the street and several more places. a man knocked on my door one morning begging me to call 911 for him because he was puking blood. about the best way i can think of to start the day.

13. loud people everywhere. wild kids. loud stereos. partying all the time. people yelling at the top of their lungs at 3:00 am for their kids. people pull up to an apartment to pick someone up or make a deal or whatever, and honk the horn about 15 feet from the door. no one has any courtesy, it's awful. and if i'm a 22 year old complaining about loud neighbors, you KNOW it's bad.

14. the deck is junk. horrible old wood. nail sticking out over an inch everywhere. the concrete on the bottom has huge cracks spanning the entire length both ways. this could collapse at any point.

15. the laundry room. there is one in every building. it has one washer and one dryer. you have to pay $1.25 for each. it is located in the same room as all of the water heaters and all of their free storage units. which look like bathroom stalls with padlocks.

16. they promise fresh paint with every move-in. this means they go in with spray guns, and without any tape/tarps or anything protective, and paint over everything. they don't remove any hardware. it's all covered in several layers of paint. the mirrors have paint on them, the carpet has paint on it, the windows and screen door. it's just pure laziness.

that's all i can think of at the moment. i can say though, that the staff has seemed nice. always courteous and polite. but when you talk to them about a problem they say something like "i'll pencil that in for you." that's pretty reassuring. they have good people skills, but that can also assist with lying.

i'm currently looking for better options.
