WARNING! The "security deposit" is actually an application fee. You don't get it back. Also, there is NO job transfer clause or any other way out of the lease. You break the lease, you buy it out! No exceptions! WARNING!

The apartments in the old section have central air and a well laid out kitchen. There is even a stacked washer and dryer in the kitchen! Not all electrical wall plugs are three hole, beware! The old apartments are efficiently laid out with no wasted space. The floors creak and groan, so unless you live on the top floor, you know when your neighbors are home. A neat feature is the additional indoor storage in each old building.

The tenants are a mix of young and old, families with kids and singles, men and women. Just about anyone would feel at home here.

The manager is friendly and courteous. She gets the job done in a professional manner.

Maple Crest has two sections, the old section built around 1960 and the new section built in the 1970's. The old section has the buildings facing each other with a green space between them, with a service drive circling the outer perimeter. You park along the side of the service drive. That can be a real pain if someone parks a monster pick-up truck or moving van in the drive. Also, by parking on the back side of the old buildings, you will have quite a walk from your car to your apartment. No fun toting groceries in to the apartment during a rain storm or snow storm. There is better parking and a more modern layout in the new section, but the rent is higher, too.

Maintenance is prompt and efficent. Same day service is normal, and the maintenance staff knows what they are doing.

All in all, I would recommend these apartments to anyone who wants to get maximum basic bang for their rental buck.
