Burberry, at first glance, seemed like a very nice place to live. The exteriors were nice enough, though modest, and the grounds seemed well-maintained. The first thing I noticed were the underqualified office staff. The girl who gave us a tour and helped us sign was like a chicken running around with its head cut off. Our rent was very high, with no high points to make it worthwhile. The faucets were chintzy, the shower broke the night we moved in, making it so that we were never able to take baths. That was inconvenient, but we wrote it off. The appliances were old and barely functional. Our dishwasher didn't work, and leaked. The washer and dryer were ridiculous. They were deafeningly loud, making it unbearable to do laundry if anyone was at home. If we wanted dry clothes, we would have to take them to a laundromat. The dryer could run for 48 hours, without fully drying even a small load. We had maintenance check it out, only to have the years' worth of lint stuck in the trap, flat out blamed on us. We had only lived there a few weeks! Maintenance was very halfhearted about their jobs, and only fixed things with aesthetics in mind, so they would look fixed without management having to spend the money to make them functional. The staff was very rude and unhelpful, even discriminatory and judgemental. It was ridiculous. I would not recommend this apartment complex to my worst enemy. we ended up paying the remainder of our lease, so that we could move.
