I have lived at Chauncey for several years now. At first things were great. After the first year, around the beginning of the year, they do apartment inspections. These inspections get postponed and moved around for up to 3 months before they actually show up. Followed by yet a second inspection sometime in April. Finally they do a 3rd inspection sometime in May. EVERY YEAR. 3 times in 4 - 5 months they will be in your apartment with only a general idea given to you when they come. The main office (not the leasing office) is not very helpful, and does nothing for their tenants. My car has been broken into 4 different times, parking gets out of hand when they hold some sort of gathering in the club house. They WILL NOT HESITATE TO PUT YOU ON THE STREET for ANY reason. You can hear neighbors through the paper thin walls. The pool and gym are a joke. The "playground" seems more hazardous to children then anything else. These people will invade your privacy and leave you wondering who has been in your apartment for months at a time. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT waste your time here, you will be miserable with it after a short while.

This place is extremely quiet, relatively clean, and I've never once had a problem parking. My neighbors are courteous. The gym and pool do leave something to be desired, but I don't use either, so it doesn't matter to me. The inspections are a tad bit overboard, and that would be my only complaint. However, I have nothing to hide, and I feel these people are trustworthy, so it never bothered me.
