Good value for Lafayette apartment

I've lived at Pheasant Run for 6 years now. It was a pretty easy choice for me to move in here, since it's a central location for where I go to work, church and school. I searched around recently in Lafayette to see the prices on other apartments, and Pheasant Run is still the best value for the dollar, like it was when I moved here.
I haven't had much experience with the maintenance people fixing stuff in my apartment, but I guess that's a good thing. There was 1 time the air conditioner stopped working, and once when the door wouldn't close right when the super cold weather made it shrink slightly. In both cases, they fixed it that same day. They seem to repave the blacktop here more than is even necessary, but that's better than potholes.
One of the things that I've found is different here from other apartments I've lived at is the staff. Previous places didn't seem to care or even know who I was when I would walk into the office. Here they recognize me and are always helpful. They hold activities throughout the year too (costume contests, ice cream night, etc.). The clubhouse is pretty nice. I even held a LEGO club meeting there once.
I'd say the only downside to Pheasant run is all the dogs. It seems like everyone but me has a dog. If you're walking through the grass, you'd better keep both eyes on where you're about to step. I've had a few neighbors over the years who have dogs that bark all the time, but I guess that's not the apartment's fault.
