Pros: Apartments are decently cheap for the size; the neighborhood is safe; there is a creek next to the complex that has a lot of critters to look at; Kise offers a discount on local gym membership; convenient access to I-65; pet-friendly; the only utility that the resident pays is electric (heat is free!).
Cons: Your rent check must arrive in Cleveland, OH on or before the 1st of every month with no grace period; the maintenance staff never seems to stick around and often takes a long time to get anything fixed (a water leak in my closet didn't get fixed for 1.5 weeks, causing black mold to form and the loss of some clothes); residents do not clean up after their pets (meaning you can't walk around safely); residents often leave their pets out on the patios, leaving them to bark all night; boiler system makes a LARGE amount of NOISE behind the entire back of my apartment; interstate and the stop sign right outside on Lafayette Ave. cause large amounts of noise; management has changed twice in only one year, and policies change along with them; some buildings have very loud and disruptive tenants that like to party all night long (and sometimes pass out on their patios in front of the buildings!); washer/dryer hookups available in downstairs units ONLY and they are usually located in the closet of a bedroom.

Overall, decent place to live if you are willing to cope with slow customer service, occasional loud neighbors, and so-so management. BEWARE: you should be sure to tour the actual apartment you want to rent BEFORE signing the lease! Many of my neighbors and I were shown different units, promised various features, and were disappointed to find that those features didn't exist in the actual rented unit.
