I agree with the last reviewer. The mother is totally ridiculous. No Manager or employee has stayed around longer than a month. She will look for anyway to screw you out of money. Upon moving out we were told we would have to paint the entire apartment and pay to have the carpet steam cleaned or we would not get the $400 deposit back. This is only totally crazy because none of that was done before we moved in. We were also told we would have to buy the paint from them for $40. Two other apartments are empty in my building and have been for at least 6 months. They have not painted them or cleaned the carpets. I know this because they leave the doors unlocked. She and the office staff constantly remind you that her son is a lawyer. I guess that is supposed to scare you. The buildings are falling apart. The common hallways look like a crack house. All the lights in the hallway and out front of my building have been burnt out for at least 6 months. The complex has a nasty moss infested lake in the middle. The staff is sure to let everyone know that they will be arrested for trespassing if they go near it.
They will rent to anyone. The do not do credit checks. The guy who lived below me didn't pay rent for seven months before they finally kicked him out. When he finally left the apartment was infested with fleas and roaches. The front of the building is covered in dog poop from the other tenant downstairs. I have complained and nothing has been done.
The current manager tries hard but he is also the maintenance man and leasing agent. There is no way he can possibly keep up with all the buildings.
Go to Canterbury House across the street. They are new and don't have a crazy old bat as an owner.
