A lot of empty apartments here but no one wants to rent them. The interior and exterior of units are run down and old. Appliances and fixtures are ancient and cheap. Rent is extremely high. Apartments are poorly insulated and heat prices are very expensive. The streets (pavement is all cracked and pot marked despite constantly making a new pavement). Assigned parking - but not well marked - unfairly distributed as well. A great deal of money seems to be wasted on nonessentials here - little John Deere vehicles - which are used to ride around in - waste of gas - when money could be used on other things. Playground areas are run down and junky looking. Lack of supervision of children and pets. These are government based apartments in a poverty stricken county - but they just keep raising rent levels and making tenants pay more utilities. Too many staff working in office and too many maintenance also - which causes rents to constantly increase. Staff often doesn't tell you when they will inspect or will tell you and then show up on a different day. You can buy a home here for the same price as rent and have a lot more privacy.
