Crack heads, drunks, and a fat, lazy, arguementative, ignorant, doughnut eating, take it in the ear for a beer property manager, thats the current staff here at Hickory Ridge Lake.
Just in the past month or so this place has went to hell, maintenance is a complete joke. I think they were hired right out of the local bar, and or crack house, when I ask them a question they stare at me and go "ahhhh-ahhhh", "the parts on order". So either the manager is to busy eating and can't autherize anything, or The maintenance man is just that stupid. (I think both).
There was a lady in the office (BARB) that was pleasant to talk to and could get things done, but she's gone, hopefully to a better job cause she is too good for this place. I don't know where these 2 new girls are from, but it will take more than that to fill Barb's spot. I direct all my business to Krystal now, she should have been moved up, since she know's whats going on.
The buildings are 30 years old, and they look it, my plumbing is poor, the windows don't seal, and the boilers, well thats another story, I have to have my oven on to stay warm in the winter.
I fear for my safety entering and leaving, maybe because of the shootings, or the gangs selling drugs, or maybe just the dopers sleeping in the halls. I hate this place, and can't wait till my lease is up next month.
There was 2 excellent maintenance guys here, when I heard their motorcycles I KNEW things would be done. They looked scary, but they were so nice and I never had a complaint about their work, and either did my neighbors. I really wish LON, and MIKE would come back, but they probably got better jobs also.
In conclusion, if your a crack head, drunk, hype, gang member, or just an IDIOT, then this is the place for you. If your a normal human being, RUN AWAY, or the property manager (DARRAH) will eat you.

i just moved here and Lord help me to maintain. they finally are fixing the parking lots ok, but the letter they gave us had a tuesday date on it. then on the door they posted a letter for a wednesday instead of tuesday. i'm like ok, i marked it down on my calendar so i can move my car because if we dont they will be towed. i go out the door on tuesday morning and SURPRISE, SURPRISE my doggon car is gone, tow trucks and police are out there, i was pissed. when i went out of my apt. door a note fell off stating that the paving will be done this tuesday which is today. WHAAAT! i came home monday tired as heck, didn't see a note on my door and i didn't leave home all that day. how was i supposed to know that they changed the day, AGAIN. already i am feeling like this a huge mistake moving here. i had to pay $120 to go to the other side of town to get my car. i used to live in Westbrook and i never had problems there. not with the neighbors, the managers and their staff, nothing. here i come to "merrillville" thinking i upgraded, yea right. the staff unproffesional, they treat the tenants like they aint paying rent, and they the same color as me. i dont understand why we treat each other like we bird crap that's all over the grass in the back of my patio. What's really good?
