I have lived in Summerwood since 2000. I am working hard to be out of here as soon as possible. When Habitat owned the complex, everything was wonderful: Service was great, any problems were addressed quickly, the grounds were beautiful, the hallways were cleaned once every couple of weeks. Then the new management took over and it has been downhill ever since. Just about anyone can live here now, which is why the basketball hoops ended up being taken down - because everyone was bringing their friends that didn't live here. Now the hallways are hardly ever cleaned. I saw a bag of eaten food in the back first floor hallway by the stairs. I actually left it there because I wanted to see how long it would be before maintenance would actually clean it. It sat for almost 2 months before it was gone. There are so many scuff marks, ripped wallpaper and small holes - all the walls need to be repainted. The carpet in the hallways need to be ripped up because they are disgusting. The front door to my building continually breaks. The latest solution seemed to be that the door knob was turned backwards. It's also ridiculous the amount of money that I have to spend to do my laundry. And for some reason, the new management didn't open the laundry rooms in the building until May. Inside my apartment, it has always been nice. Unfortunately, noise has always been a major problem. You can hear everything in the hallways. You can hear your neighbors above, below and next to you all the time. I have had ant problems since the beginning of April. I called the office and I was supposedly put on a list for an exterminator. A month later I still had not seen an exterminator, but I sure did continue to see ants. (The largest amount I killed in one night was about 45 - no exaggerating). I finally came up with my own concoction to try to get rid of them myself. I have called 3 times about this problem. Each time I was suppossedly already on this nonexistent "list". It is now the end of June and still have not seen an exterminator. And now it's hot enough where I hardly ever see an ant. So at this point I have now finally had it with summerwood. For the amount I pay them every month, I deserve better service than this. Not a repaving job that really wasn't needed. I will not ever recommend this complex to anyone anymore. There are too many other nicer complexes around here to get stuck in this one. I can't wait until I leave here. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn
