Imagine the worst housing conditions you have ever seen on TV or passing through low income neighborhoods......Summerwood is 1000 times worse. This is the nassssssstiest -------- I have ever encountered in my entire life. We used to live in the front of the building where is was so so. Neighbors were cool, quiet and clean. Then we decided we needed to move to a bigger place and ended up in the back of the building. All I can say is it is so nasty and dirty that it is almost unlivable. There at one point was blood all over our outside door, spit on the inside walls and dirt all over the floors. We ended up cleaning it ourselves because it was so embarrasing. We have a lake side or rather swamp side view however the water is so nasty and the grass or what is left of the grass since it is pretty much a sheet of ---- that we typically avoid our deck because it is so depressing to see how gross it is. The laundry room is so horrid that I feel that my clothes are dirtier when I leave then when I went in. One day I went in there and there was garbage overflowing onto the floors as well as used and new condoms everywhere. Nothing like wanting to totallllly puke. We also wne twith no heat or water for almost three weeks due to a water heater that supposedly was on back order, a maintance worker stole an entire tool box and other items in the closet and when we apporached staff they pretty much accused me of lying until I called the cops who spoke to staff who eventually tracked the staff memeber down who stole the items. All the time they told me they had no record or clue who came in or out. They supposedly fired that ------- but who knows they lie so much here I wouldn't be suprised if he was my neighbor. The only maintenance to trust is Taylor and Butch...On my street I have randomly spoke to people cautioning me not to walk alone ever due to sketchy males roaming the area. One night I was walking my dog and a man fould not stop following me even after I told him if he didn't back his ass up I would mace him he then proceeded to ask me if he coujld walk me home becuase summerwood was so creepy.....hellllllo freak. Also area neighbors have told me that their lives have been threatened bu other tenenants because they called the cops on them for drug trafficing or as open as smoking CRACK on their lower porch. I could write a book about this place.....if you like the smell of ----, a drafty place followed by a high electric bill, no water, having to dodge bird droppings everytime you go outside, rude staff, creepy neighbors, vandalism, nasty exterior and interior, bloody doors, trash piled so high that it overflows, knee high grass and hearing your up and down stairs neighbors having sex Summerwood is the place to stay. Anyone that lives her knows what I am talking about. We should figure out a way to get this on the news so they are forced to do something about this. No wonder staff is sooo quick to leave at the end of their shift...they want to get the hell out of the hood before dark when all hell breaks loose.

I amen that as I am a former resident. Please get out soon if you can. I too didn't like the strange men walking the grounds and lack of maintenance help.

I currently live here and the back is the worst. Not to mention the thugs at the basketball court who use the parking lot as the raceway. And the walls are paper thin.

The new company Alliance are crooks. They put people out and trump up the charges they owe and take them to court. That kankagoo court in Merrillville are in cohoots with the management here.The place is a dump.The manager is one step up from po white trash and a racist bigot to boot. Don't come here!
