HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT

My fiance and I moved to Summerwood from another state when his job transfered him. We knew we would only be staying in the Apt temporarily while we looked for a house so we didn't do a lot of research before moving. That was a BIG mistake, I wish I knew about this site then. We stayed Feb through Apr in 05. First of all they could not get the original first floor APT we had reserved ready on time so they put us in another one on the second floor in the back of the complex in bldg F. I'm wondering if they just stuck us back there because they can't rent the ones in the back. This APT was dirty when we moved in, and had a lingering scent of cat pee. The carpeting was dark and stiff as if something sticky had been shampooed off of them. I did not want to sit on the floor, touch the carpet or walk around w/o shoes in my own APT! The APT's were large but that is the only good thing I can say. They have a big closet on the balcony or patio. Our neighbor below us would keep thier dogs locked in that closet during the day. Besides that being stinky and loud because of the dogs barking and howling all day I thought it was incredibly inhumane to leave them in a dark windowless closet. After nothing being done by MGMT I left them a note myself and then they just left them chained outside all day and they would bark their heads off if I went on the balcony or at anyone who went near the lake or anywhere they could see them. I guess that is what I get for feeling sorry for them. Setting the dumpsters on fire must be a common occurance because ours was set on fire as I have read in other reviews. The management was rude and unresponsive. When I had to go pick up several of the things we had delivered I often had to wait while the agents stood around talking or finishing their personal phone conversations which could take five minutes, no joke. They did not give us a key to the laundry, and when I could not get in, I went to the office to get one. They said they were out of keys and maintenance would come let me in. I stood outside in the snow waiting for someone to come and then sat in my car until another resident w/ a key let me in. The laundry room was far away and later I found out that we had a laundry room inside each of the buildings that managment didn't unlock. The hallways were dirty and b/c everyone's front door shares a common hallway (must be common in this area have seen that elsewhere also) you smell everything others are cooking or smoking. I would walk during the day but not even think about it and sunset or dark. This place is just bad I was depressed the whole three months I lived there and Thank God it was not longer than that. Please don't move here under any circumstances.
