I have only been here about a month an a half;however, it hasn't been bad. My only complaint is that I have several children in my building and they are terrors. They run up and down the halls and stairwells screaming. They leave the food they leave in the hallways, which I pickup to prevent, ants, roaches or any other vermin and they like to tear apart the newspapers left for the the owners to find. The office staff has always been courteous and taken care of any repairs right away. Parking is what it is, it is a large complex and considering that, it is pretty good. the garages don't appear bad, it is better than not having the opportunity to rent one, especially with our winters. I will say, the grounds keepers could do a little better job cleaning up. The other renters could also be more courteous of each other and not throw their cigarette butts all over the ground outside their apartments and more of them could please pickup after their dogs. I pickup after mine without fail and cannot comprehend the problem with picking up after your dog. It makes the environment better for yourself, let alone your neighbors. I live facing a lake and am waiting for the a perpetual rain to watch the level of the lake. I am a little worried as there seems to be some wood damage on my patio and around the entrance to my patio from the ground to about 2 feet high. Makes me wonder if we were ever under water. I have been told it wasn't, but I am not so sure. I will say, I had new appliances, tub, sink with cabinet and toilet, which actually leads me to wonder even more about the flooding. Last year was famous for flooding in this general area with the heavy rains. The laundry facility is not in the building, but an adjacent building at the head of the complex - lousy idea if it rains or snows. Many machines do not work properly and the cash card machine takes money from your accounts and doesn't always put it on your card. I go elsewhere, but several do use the service. In my case it is a choice of preference to go somewhere else. Besides those worries, I really don't have any major complaints so far. As I stated in the beginning, this is communal living, not a house with a big yard. Only walls and ceiling blocking each tenant from the next and that allows noises and disturbances. You just have to acclimate and that is what I have been doing.
