This place was a wondeful place to live but I have had to question that thought the last three years. Each of the past two winters one of our cars was broken into (one of over a dozen). There have been constant parking problems due to college parties across the lot from us. We now have had atleast three noisy neighbors (one of which works at Candlewood) that are completely unaware that other people live here.
The apt is relatively quiet unless you want to have your windows open or people are hanging out in the hallway.
The past two years this seems to be a common thing.
People fighting in the hallways.
People being loud and drunk outside until 3a.m.
other people parking in your carport.
And no parking on weekends......forget it.
My roommate has to make sure to leave the carport for me on weekends or after 10pm I will not have a place to park.
When calling them about this problem there is nothing they can do about it.
In the past two years I have seen this place fall apart. The hallways never NEVER get cleaned anymore. (they used to be vacuumed and cleaned atleast once a week).
Lights in the hallway or carports will remain out for weeks.
Our front door to the actual complex is always always broken.
And this past winter it seemed that noone plowed at all.
I got stuck in the parking lot twice.
Then after getting unstuck saw that the roads were fine as was my working parking lot.
So maintaince on the property itself has fallen.
Respect for the community has fallen tremendously.
My bestfriend was going to get an apt here but I warned her not to since she is a single career woman with a newborn.
I cant see her having to deal with unplowed parking, noisy drunk neighbors and people fighing in the hallways.
Having to walk through that situation when you get off of work is very scary.
So yes I still live here....
making plans to move.
It was a nice apt complex.
But has fallen.
Move to Runaway Bay.
Or for what your getting anymore here.......you may as well move to "college" castle point apartments and pay 200.00 a month less and have more ammenities but lots of college parties.
No different.
Tons of parking
Less rent!!!
