I would never suggest that anybody live here. Quality control is an issue - both on residents approved to move in and with the work done by maintenance.
I moved into Remington Court during Summer 2008. Right away it was clear that our neighbors would be problematic - they have late night parties mid-week and because of the thin walls in these apartments we cannot avoid their loud music.
Our particular area of the complex seems to be a "revolving door" for people who move in and then move out after just a few months. There have been police cars late at night on multiple occasions - some for domestic violence, other for various complaints. It is disconcerting to wake up to police pounding our our neighbors' doors and multiple squad cars in the middle of the night.
Our own property has been vandalized at the apartment complex making it difficult to trust our neighbors.
Management has been fairly responsive to our concerns about vandalism but otherwise they are full of empty apologies.
The quality and reliability of the maintenance staff is very poor - it takes forever to fix anything. Adding insult to injury, they have even insinuated that we don't know how to use our large household appliances, stating this caused subsequent problems, and they provide inane excuses for the reasons something won't work.
We went to Ivy League colleges - we are not stupid and we know how to use our appliances.
Recently the management removed ALL recycling from the apartment. With the rest of the country trying to "go green" you'd think they could at least keep the glass and plastic recycling available to residents. Now we haul our recyclables to other locations.

You would be surprised at the amount of Ivy Leaguers such as yourself that don't know how to operate a stove or microwave. Or an example, being a former employee of that property an Ivy Leaguer putting china in a dishwasher that was not dishwasher safe causing the water to turn pink because the glaze was coming off the plates. Let's not get book smarts confused with common sense shall we?

Well stated, Anonymous. I have found the so-called 'book smart' people to be of the most mentally vacant when it comes to care for home appliances and such--likely, too much 'mommy and daddy' covering for their lack of common sense.
I've witnessed some of the 'brighter' ones not realize that the lint basket in a dryer needs to be cleaned out after EVERY load. Or that you don't put four raw chicken breasts down a garbage disposal, and expect it to chop it up. Or of course, and the never-ending reality of these bookworm snots, putting cigarette butts and beer bottle caps down the disposal, and think it will be ok.
Again, well said...
