I lived at Runaway Bay in 2004. The staff in the office was always nice, I never dealt with the maintenance people, which is good because I never had a problem there. I paid 514 for a 1 BR with a fireplace AND a W/D! The onlycomplaints I would have would be that the walls are kind of thin and the ice was a problem. Other than that, it was great. It was conviently located in Mishawaka, I felt safe here, and my apartment was pretty nice. The geese were in the complex a lot, BUT, if you live in Mishawaka, you pretty much are gonna have geese around, and if you move into an apartment complex that has a lake in it, you're gonna have geese. You should know this when you move in to the place. I never had a problem with the geese I thought there were kind of cool to feed. :) I'd recomend people to Runaway Bay and I would live there again. :)

YAY! Another person feeding the geese, giving them a reason to stay, and a reason to poop all over anything. This seems like a serious issue. I mean seriously, I've been shopping around the South Bend area for an apartment for weeks, and Run Away Bay does seem like a nice place. It's NEAR the top of the list. But who wants to live in a place with a dozen differnt groups of angry geese parents trying to protect their butt-ugly goose babies. The ducks and ducklings were even being chased about by the out-of-control geese. The management really should step in and do something about this. |
