The following is opionion and based only on experience in one apartment, it may be different in others. Winderemere has the best apartments for the price but everything else associated with an apartment is either subpar or sucks. All utilities are paid except electric but I'd rather pay my own because they internet and cable they provide sucks. The volume randomly goes up and down, some channels we're supposed to get don't come in, the internet randomly stops working for about 30 seconds to a minute every twenty minutes. Doesn't sound that bad but once you live here for a couple months you'll be yelling out the window about how much the internet sucks here and the staff won't do anything to fix it. Dishwasher is worthless, you have to wash everything by hand. They don't allow grills but we've gotten away with it all year. Two or three people have been shot here so bring your kevlar. Don't take the bedroom by the stairs, you can hear everything. Looking back I'd take the 1st or 3rd floor. 1st gives you two entrances and cheaper rent. 3rd gives you cool ceilings, skylights, and you can't hear anyone plus the people below you heat your apartment. Get an apartment that faces the sun at some point in the day, helps with heating costs and it gets depressing in the winter. Shower pressure sucks. Don't fall for the $10 for cable in your room, just buy a spliter and run it from the living room. Keep it hidden or easily removeable since they do inspections every other month, which is just to change the furnace filter and walk through the apartment, takes two minutes. They don't tell you when you have packages in the office. The staff is pretty trashy and inconsiderate, the new guys they hired are hollister pretty boy douchebags.
