I hated the two years I lived in Windermere. I wish I hadn't renewed the lease but they pressure you do to it in like September during your first year so I didn't realize it was so bad. Things were constantly breaking down. When we first move in we found pennies in our garbage disposal. Then a week later our dishwasher broke. Despite calling them frequently it took nearly 3 months for them to come fix and even then it wasn't really fixed. It never got the dishes clean and we often had to re-wash them by hand. Having a washer and dryer was nice but the knob on our dryer fell off sometime during my first year there. We would call and tell them about it and they never came to fix it and still wasn't on the day we moved out. In my bathroom the water was backwards so to shower you had to remember to turn it on hot when you wanted cold and vise versa. When I moved in my bathroom door said "Paint" and they never got around to it. I can think of 1023091230 other things that broke or went wrong that they took forever and failed to fix. The worst of all was when our hot water broke and we were without it for 4 days. Our air conditioner also broke and they tried to blame it on us. They do lots of random inspections and maintenance men think it's okay to enter you apartment at any time even 10pm or later. They usually give little or no warning before coming in also. The people at the office are so rude. They never tell you if you have a package and try to create silly worthless rules. Your visitors will NEVER find a parking spot on the weekend and they can't even park behind most buildings. They took forever to plow the parking lot when it snowed. The people below us played their music so loud it shook our entire apartment and when we complained they acted like they couldn't do anything. Once we left a bag of trash outside our apt for literally 5 minutes and they charged us $100. There's just better places to live in Muncie so seek them out. Don't waste your time on this cheaply made trashy place! Oh not to mention that there was a shooting each year I lived year! That makes you feel safe especially since one was at the work-out room and one was in my building on the floor below me. I NEVER felt safe! And when we came to find the first floor of our building blocked off they refused to tell us what was going on and we later heard, through other people it was a shooting. They should be more concerned about their residences safety and well being! If a shooting is going on near you and they have not caught the suspect I want to be informed. When I called their emergency line they said they "couldn't release information" It's stupid. You will also never get your deposits back because they will charge you for things that weren't even wrong and even if you have pictures to prove it they don't care. They also thought it would be a good idea to redo the concrete sidewalks during move-out week. I'm not sure what they were thinking. But then again at that point I didn't expect much from them. Oh and they will also make you be out by noon on the day you have to move out. Seriously, look elsewhere. This place SUCKS!!

yep. windermere blows, and it's all thanks to the ------ property manager they have running the place.

Yea I never even lived there but I went in to job shadow and those women in there made me walk out in the middle of the shadow. When I first got there they acted like I wasn't even there, then finally someone grabbed me and said we were going to go hand out free stuff on campus. This chick has kids and was flirting with all the guys, swearing and being ridiculously loud. Then we got back, I was ignored some more. The property manager came in and just kept bitching about how much she didn't want to do her work and then her and the chick I was handing stuff out with decided to take a smoke break and thats when I took off.
