What's all the fuss about???

I've lived here for over two years and I have never had any of the problems that these people are complaining about. Sure, if you don't pay your rent on time and tear the crap out of your apt, you SHOULD expect to pay some fees and fines. This is not a fairy tale wonderland that we live in, its the real world. Some of you really need to grow up and realize that the people who work here are here to make a living - not baby all of your sorry asses.
To be completely honest with all of you people out there apartment hunting, Windermere is a great place to live. Management is incredibly understanding in most situations and I don't think you will find another property anywhere around here that has a better maintenance staff.
So pay no attention to these bad reviews, they must have been written by immature children who believe the world should be served to them on a silver platter and when they do get bit in the ---, they can think of nothing better to do than come on here and write bad reviews that may shun some people away from living in a great place.

Actually I live in Silver Tree now and the maintenance staff is amazing. Also, the management team and office staff are just as sweet and friendly now as they were the first day I took a tour and showed interest.
I think I wrote a review on Windermere about a year or so ago. I don't think it makes me an "immature child" to write that there were TWO shootings while I lived there, my car was broken into, AND over the summer I was dogsitting and while waiting on my friend's puppy to do its business outside I saw a rape through an apartment window!! At first I thought something didn't seem right but brushed it off. Less than 10 minutes later there were 4 police officers outside with a guy in handcuffs.
Sweet place to live. But I guess I'm just writing a bad review because I "believe the world should be served to me on a silver platter". Some of our sorry asses would like to make it out of Muncie alive. Haven't heard a single gun shot over here at Silver Tree. :)

I moved away to go to grad school and the apartment that I live at now is wonderful. I wish I could bring them to muncie and show them how to treat students the office staff knows your name and ALWAYS ask if there is something wrong in my apartments WHENEVER i am in the office. I never was once called by my first name in windermere office or asked if everything was alright in my apartment. I am going to grad school further my education. I do not believe that I am a being a "immature child". I really wish we knew who wrote the first review because you have to know that they work in the office and recieve free rent.
I too thought it was a nice place to live until nothing got fixed in my apartment and once I moved out I was charged for a million things. I AM SAYING IT AGAIN. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE DONT LIVE AT WINDERMERE

When we first decided to move here, this place seemed amazing. They promised a hot tub next year, that upkeep is amazing, and that if you had any problems you could always just tell them and people would get in trouble and if it happened so many times, people would get evicted. They hot tub is not here, which is a reason why we moved, the upkeep is terrible, the bushes are dead and not trimmed, the damaged apartments are not fixed, the paint has leaked on to our flooring and floor boards, the lawn chairs are rusted and broken, the pool table is crap, the Foosball table is crap, and the fax machine never works, the pool is full of leaves and dirt, and so much more. Why do we pay for things that I could buy at a garage sale for a penny. I also have never had so many problems with the management before. I was getting bills for rent that I had paid for months ahead of time and they didn't want to believe me. I complain and nothing happens. I have work and school and I have ------- keeping me up all night screaming and pounding on my walls. Management assured me something would be done and NOTHING. I am not the only one that has made several complaints. This one couple has a baby and these girls were waking him up all night long and they said the same stuff happens to them. As far as I have heard, no one I know likes this place very much. I also know that the staff comes on here and writes their owns reviews and finds out who writes these and punishes them for it. I had friends who used to work here, very good employees. I am so tired of this place, I wish I could fire that stupid woman my self. I vote Audra comes back. This place has not turned out to be anything like they promised and I would never again rent here or recommend this place until they clean it up and hire new management. CANNOT STAND IT. Corporate will have many calls very soon.
