Pet Friendly, Reasonable Price, Mediocre Quality

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2003
I moved to Cedar Ridge primarily due to the proximity to Louisville and their pet friendly policy, but even that had its downsides. My upstairs neighbor had a dog whom she allowed to alleviate itself on the deck, thus damaging my furniture below. You also have to watch where you?re stepping as residents don?t care where they let their pets go, despite management?s efforts.
The apartment itself was a nice layout and decent size. Windows, unless new, are sub par (very, very poor insulation and expect to put up insulation sheets in the winter). Also, I had a recurring leak for the three years I was there and management never fixed this permanently. Every time we had a hard rain, I had to get out the buckets.
If you?re a student or just starting out, the apartments are okay, but be prepared for some noisy neighbors (especially those who like to sand blast the paint on their cars on weekends), and low quality maintenance. However, management is friendly and the price seems fair.
