Don't make my mistake

I am currently trying to break my lease due to the months of ridiculous problems I have had with this property. They advertise 'recently remodeled' but don't bet on getting one of the few that have been. The balconies are rotting and they are slow to rebuild. The fire alarms go off regularly forcing all tenants in the building to be evacuated. The staff are unprofessional and slow to respond to issues. The maintenance men are kind, but completely overworked. The gym that is supposed to be open till 10 pm is often closed for no apparent reason. As a professional, I'm embarassed to have coworkers over just because of the smell of marijuana in the common area. There are many better choices in Floyd county and across the river. Please heed my warning.
During my time in the apartment, I had the airconditioning go out twice for more than two days each time. The last time, they brought me a window unit, but none of my windows open because I was in one of the circular apartments, so I was just out of luck. I had to move into a hotel - and pay for it myself!
When I moved in, they hadn't cleaned the carpet, so I had to do that myself. And one of the windows was broken. I was promised it would be fixed in the first week I was there. I called them three times asking to fix it and they didn't. It took seven weeks and a letter to their corporate office before it was fixed! They used masking tape as window sealant!
It is a complete dive.
