My family and I moved in here in February of 2007. At first we thought it was great, for the most part. Before we moved in, the office staff seemed very kind, answered phones promptly, were helpful, etc. Since moving in, all that has changed. We spent the first two and a half, almost three months here without a bedroom door on our master bedroom. They swore they would get it put on within a couple of days of us moving in, yet it took me begging them for a door before they put one on. The linoleum (Spelling') throughout the apartment rolls up at the edges. Our closets that have sliding doors don't open and close unless you raise up on the entire door. The big glass door in the living room as a huge gap between the door and door frame and the glass also doesn't fit properly so we have mold on the door around the window and cold air really rips through it when the weather is nasty. There is only one trash dumpster for the entire complex and only one set of mailboxes. People place their trash on the hoods of their cars to drive it from one side of the complex to the other. We had set a bag of trash outside of our door long enough for us to go to church so our dog wouldn't destroy it. When we got back from church there was a note on our door charging us $25 for the bag of trash still setting by our door. It isn't like they even had to dispose of it. There is a pool here, but visitors are not allowed at the pool, so if your kids have company in the summer, be prepared to not be allowed to take them to the pool. As for the office not answering their phones...that comes in good time. I have even been in the office when the phones have been ringing, they look at their caller ID and don't answer it. I told the office woman one day that she could answer the phone while I was there but she told me unless it was corporate that she didn't have to answer the phone. Go figure! Oh, and they promise a courtesy officer to be here for the residents. There have been two occassions where I tried to page this officer, yet he or she never returned my calls. I tried back about 20 minutes later and the call was still never returned. This happened on two separate incidents. I am glad nobody was being killed during that time! I ended up having to call Noblesville police out here to answer the complaint.
As for safety, the police are out here a lot. There are quite a few problems with people causing trouble and destroying property. A few weeks ago there was basically the swat team here because two teens were fighting and one pulled a gun on the other. Back in April, my kids were at the playground playing for the first time since we moved in, and they got jumped by 10-12 other kids. My kids had to go to the hospital for injuries, some of which my daughter is still struggling to heal from. Did anyone do anything about it' Nope! Not even the police! They said that because my son bit one of the kids as my son was trying to get away because they were holding him down and beating him, that my son was just as much at fault. The office didn't kick anyone out or anything over it. They just let it happen. When I found out what was going on and ran to the area where it all took place, two girls were threatening to beat me up, too. One of the girls still will regularly ride her bike over to our building and try to intimidate my kids. It is just absolutely ridiculous here! I really suggest you run the other way. My husband didn't want to move in here because of these reviews, but I told him that they were probably problem residents that wrote them. We moved in despite his better judgement. Now that we are here and settled in, we see exactly what the other reviews were talking about. They aren't really exaggerating. Things here leave much to be desired!
Oh, I haven't even covered the bugs. Spiders and ants are rampant in this complex. There are big gaps in the bottom of the doorways leading to the outside, so we sometimes have hundreds of ants inside around the doors. Most residents I have spoken with, including ourselves, kill several spiders daily, as well. Also, the ponds that they have here are disgusting. They are stocked with fish, but they are so dirty and polluted that I wouldn't want anyone to go into them or eat any fish from them. There is also a very large snake in the front pond that measures at least 6 feet in length. Needless to say, the pond isn't a great place to spend any relaxation time. Whoever reads this, please know that I didn't believe these reviews when I first read them and moved in. After living here for a few months, I see that these people are not lying about how bad these apartments are. If anything, I think they may be too kind about the complex's shortcomings.

You are one very angry and bitter person, Anonymous, aren't you? You have no clue what you are talking about in your response, and that is quite evident. You might want to get that anger under control. I wouldn't be surprised if, with that sort of lashing out over an opinion, if your children were involved in jumping mine.

I totally agree with you Verydissappointed. They're an idiot. I lived at Deer Chase and ran into the same problems you did. I really hope you're not living there anymore, or at least you lease is up soon.

No my children don't jump or fight other children...as a responsible parent...I sit outside and watch my children play as I also do when they are at the pool...but you wouldn't no anything about that...would you??? BTW how bad were your children beaten :)...ANGER...I am not angry...in fact, I think that you are pretty hilarious, complaining over the internet about your children being beat up...where were you when all this was happening to your "precious" children? I guess that dog of yours is NOT a guard dog...hehehehahahaaha :) We had set a bag of trash outside of our door long enough for us to go to church so our dog wouldn't destroy it. PER YOUR LEASE YOU ARE NOT TO LEAVE GARBAGE OUTSIDE OF YOUR DOOR...WHICH AS STATED - YOU HAVE BEEN DOING, WHICH IS A VIOLATION OF YOUR LEASE - NOT TO MENTION IT MAKES THE COMMUNITY LOOK NASTY & DIRTY - WOULD YOU LEAVE YOUR GARBAGE NEXT TO THE FRONT DOOR OF YOUR NEW HOUSE - HELL NO - THEN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT PEOPLE DRIVING WITH "THEIR" TRASH ON "THEIR" CARS TO THE DUMPSTER, WHERE THE GARBAGE IS SUPPOSE TO GO...YOU ARE THE ONE TO COMPLAIN - STOP WONDERING WHY ANTS AND OTHER PESTS ARE AT YOUR DOOR...COULD IT BE BECAUSE YOU ARE INVITING THEM TO YOUR FRONT DOOR AND IN YOUR HOUSE WITH FOOD!!! There is a pool here, but visitors are not allowed at the pool, so if your kids have company in the summer, be prepared to not be allowed to take them to the pool. THIS POLICY WAS EXPLAINED TO YOU DURING THE LEASING PROCESS...IF YOU HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS POLICY, YOU SHOULD HAVE ADDRESSED IT AT THAT TIME - BEFORE YOU SIGNED YOU LEASE - MEANING YOU COULD HAVE MOVED SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Back in April, my kids were at the playground playing for the first time since we moved in, and they got jumped by 10-12 other kids. My kids had to go to the hospital for injuries, some of which my daughter is still struggling to heal from. Did anyone do anything about it? Nope! Not even the police! IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO WATCH YOUR CHILDREN WHILE THEY ARE PLAYING - IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILTY OF MANAGEMENT - LEAVING ME TO THINK WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED TO YOUR CHILDREN??? After living here for a few months, I see that these people are not lying about how bad these apartments are. If anything, I think they may be too kind about the complex's shortcomings. SO UNHAPPY - YET YOU HAVE NOT MOVED YET!!! MAKES ME WONDER

I live in Deer Path (across the street from this complex) and it has run our entire neighborhood down. All of us over here want to sell our houses b/c this apartment community SUCKS! And, who is replying to this resident's review? I certainly hope it is not a member of the leasing office. OMG! Real professional! I have had friends that moved in (and then out) of this complex and they all say it is horrible! Rude office people, crappy construction, worthless maintenance....Have you ever heard of Customer Service? These tenants (as well as the persons living in your general area) are your customers. We all depend on you, if noone else, to help maintain the peace in our community. Since the construction of this crappy apartment complex, me and my neighbors are constantly hearing police sirens in and out of there as well as being forced to call the police in OUR neighborhood due to the teenagers causing havoc to everyone in their paths. Unfortunately for you, I am able to make sure that the public is well aware of the problems in your office/complex, etc., and I do intend on getting the word out quickly. You should be ashamed of how you run your business over there. What makes you think you have the right to treat your tenants in such a disrespectful manner? It angers me and disgusts me. You should all be fired and, if nothing else, a new management team should be hired to make the people that are making sure you get paychecks every week are satisfied and taken care of the way the ALL deserve. They all want to move, but luckily for you they haven't. Instead of being thankful, you treat them like crap and bully them!? You have the nerve to not answer phone calls! You do not offer apologies and help fix problems. The things I've read from your tenants are completely terrible and you should all be ashamed. Your teenage problems over there are causing problems for my teenage children over here. Get it under control already! I too, watch my children like a hawk - you better believe that. Don't try using that one with me. About the garbage outside of their door and the lease and all...I'm sure there are many things in their lease that YOU are not abiding by. Perhaps that should be taken to court in my opinion. If I were your tenant, not only would the news be all over your asses over there, but you would be in court with a serious quickness.
