I live in this apartment complex and constantly fear for my safety (woman renter). I moved here 2 years ago when the complex opened and have had numerous problems with this apartment. I moved in because it was affordable and I have limited income. I believe at one time there was a drug lab above me and notified the police. Those people have since moved out. There have been people fighting on my patio numerous times, and random people that I do not know knocking on my doors and peeping in my windows at all hours of the day and night. There has also been a murder here. Also the trash compacter is a huge problem. There is huge furniture and other horrible looking scrap furnituure constantly on display at the entrance of this complex. Go ahead and drive by, you'll see it. Courtesy officer is useless, paged him several times and he was 20 minutes away and too busy to take care of the problem so had to call police department to take care of issues. Some people will say there are problems everywhere, but I think the lower rent and income in this complex is causing problems. I am trying to get out of my lease early and the best they can do is tell me to give notice for a 60 day move-out and they will try to fill my slot so I am not responsible for the rest of my rent. I am thinking of taking legal action to get out of my lease. The cheap rent is not worth sacrificing your safety.

Renter0093, my response was not to you. It was to the person calling themselves "DeerchaseaptD" that left a bitter message to you and who has been leaving similar bitter messages on other reviews. I am in complete agreement with you, Renter0093. Please be assured that any bitterness coming out in my response was not directed toward you at all.

who are you guys? why are you acting this way. i dont' have problems with low income people, as you say i am one. i am jsut commenting that after i spoke with the sherrifs dept, they are the ones that said the low income apartments are having lots of calls. i can only assume it's because of the renters. amen. btw, one of my best friends is a lawyer, and i volunteer at an attorney's office. I get legal help for free. i hope you both have a great day. you sound pretty bitter, i hope your life turns around for the better.

Bitter...you are the one bashing they very community you live in...if you want to live somewhere else or "nicer"...stop volunteering at an attorney's office and get HIRED at one or ask your lawyer friend for a damn job...and my life is GOLDEN... Legal action...you have limited income...you can not afford a lawyer...heck...you can't even afford to live somewhere that you will feel "safe". The lower income guidelines and the lower rent is what initially attracted you to Deer Chase Apartments. FYI...safety costs money...the kind that folds...not the kind that jingles...if you don't have money or only have as you say "limited income" then sorry Charlie???you have to DEAL WITH IT!!! You cannot buy champagne safety with beer safety money, that is just how it is for those with ???limited income??????sorry! You say to skip this place...this place...Deer Chase Apartments...that is so funny and so sad because the waiting list to move into Deer Chase Apartments grows longer by the second...WHY? I???m glad you asked???People can't afford to live anywhere else...foreclosure rates are the highest in decades. The American middle income class is slowly but surely becoming the American low income class. Economic equation (low income or "limited income" = high crime). The average cost of gas per gallon is $3.20 & minimum wage is $5.15 So, Renter0093, where are you going to move with "limited income"? Don???t bother because I already know???YOU ARE GOING TO MOVE TO ANOTHER???WHAT LOOKS LIKE "SAFE" TO YOU???LOW INCOME APARTMENT COMPLEX. When will you people learn that you can't run from low income people and you sure can't hide. Low income people are EVERYWHERE!!! They are on you job, they attend your church, pass you by on the street???I mean gosh???they only use to live in the slums, ghettos, projects and trailer parks, but now...OMG...they are your neighbors...I BET you NEVER thought that would happen. I mean you are not ???poor???...you just have "limited income" but they are not ???poor??? either...they just have "limited income" JUST LIKE YOU...GASP!!! What does that mean???the TRUTH is out and you can???t handle the TRUTH??? So you try to run to the hills and torrent rains and land slides bring you right back to the low income people. You try to run to the east coast and hurricanes & floods bring you right back to the low income people. You try to run to the woods and wildfires & drought bring you right back to the low income people. You try run to the southern part of the US and slow economic growth with little to no jobs brings you right back to the low income people. California???NUNCA (NEVER). Renter0093???stop running???either increase your education/find a better paying job which can in turn???although, I am not really sure these days???improve your ???limited income??? situation (then maybe you can join the middle income class because they don???t seem to be struggling at all) or you can speak out against the problems that people with ???limited income??? such as yourself face on daily basis.

Renter0093 if you don't feel safe then I would recommend you move. Deer Chase is not a good place to live and although when I lived there I didn't feel unsafe; however it sounds like safety is an issue now. There are all kinds of people with "limited income." Some people who have "limited income" are good people such as myself; and others who have "limited income", well they have other issues. Safety is #1 priority and I understand what you are saying. Moving may be your best option. I was so glad to get out of there myself!

I totally agree...maybe you should move to a "safer" area.
