I lived in Rivers Edge Apts for 3 years. (didnt have much choice) The buildings are more than 20 years old, and we had original carpet. (dark brown shag with orange spots here and there) Its over priced for what it is. Next to impossible for the apartment to come fix any problems. My neighbor had ants very badly. My bathroom sink leaked for 2 years and destroyed many personal use products. They woud not replace anything destroyed from their own maintnance mens lack of know how. Closet doors all original and some hung upside down, missing handles and always falling off the runers. Poorly insulated. Freezing in the winter, and you can hear all noises from the hallways. EVERYTHING! Lots of children, run free all hours day and night, parents no where in sight. There are security alarms in the apartments, but they still get broken into. Rules are no dogs allowed, but they dont keep this rule very well. Its quite annoying to have dog dropings around and hear them barking. Over all, just the overall appearance of the apartments are very poor. The complex looks poor, but they charge too much for the rent. I havent recieved my deposit back yet. If I do, I'll be sure to update this to let people know. When we moved, in, we could see it had not been painted from the last tennents and the carpets had not been cleaned. (had a odor very unpleasent from day 1) Impossible to keep white socks clean from walking on the floor, from the first day we moved in till the last. Shower time' Less than 10 mins. of hot water. (I'm not kidding) Roaches everywhere. Hard to keep them out of the apartments. They live in the walls and you can see them freely walking around on outside of buildings etc....I would never suggest anyone to move here unless they are low income and have no choice but to look for section 8 housing. Not all are section 8. We payed full price to live here. But we can understand how lower income families, may need to live here.

No offense, you said you had no choice to live there, but you paid full rent, so you did have choice, there is always a choice, and i do not like the way you are saying that people that need financial assistace can settle for less you are implying that the problem is with section 8 people living there. If you felt that way maybe you should have moved after the first year, it is you own fault!!!!!!!!!
