I have lived here for about a year now in a two bedroom with garage and i don't have an issue. My bill has been a little bit higher the last couple months, but it has also been freezing, i think everyone's has gone up a bit. Overall, very resonable and my apartment is great!

not sure what you are used too but i have heard some apartments have had bills over 200 dollars this winter, and they weren't the 3 bedroom ones...mine is only a 1 bedroom and has been around 120$ a month since winter started...not very well sealed up as i can feel a very cool breeze blowing by all windows and even the front door...i am sure that doesn't help much on the electric bill...and FYI the maint crew is pretty poor...do not count on any sense of urgency

do you use your heat damn 40$ is cheap...sounds like you have one of the apartments that has someone elses electric meter reading...that happened to my neighbor...then they got stuck with back pay on the months that their readings were incorrect...you might watch out for that...100$ plus for a one bedroom in winter should be expected for the original poster

I have a one bedroom, and the last two bills have been $151 and $145.. pretty ridiculous for a 1 bedroom.

forget about the electric. this is a horrid mgmt. co. look at the reviews for all their properties. The Springs, The Grande Reserve at Geist, Metropolis.
Find another place to live or you will be mad at yourself.

we have lived here since sept and our electric bill just keeps climbing. first bill was $200. Next bill...$240. We live in a 2 bdrm. I've never seen a bill like that, not even in a house. I honestly believe there is no insulation in the walls...at all! We have plastic on all of our windows now so we'll see if it helps. I still feel like our heat is constantly running.
Oh and by the way...you should see our windows. There is so much air coming in all of them that the plastic bulges out more than a foot. Sometimes it even pushes out so far that the tape comes off. Too much work for the price we pay.

I agree with you. I am in a 2 bedroom, and our bill this past month was $256.00.

I made the original post before moving to Central Park last year. This winter electric bill has been between $250 and $310 for the last 4 months in a 1 bedroom with a loft. I didn't take the electricity issue very seriously when I initially picked Central Park, but I'm moving because of it. This is a very nice place to live, but the quality of the apartments isn't worth the rent I pay plus an additional $300 electric bill for at least 4 months out of the year. If you have a lot of extra cash, this place is great. However, if you are like the rest of the world, I'd save your money and try another Plainfield location.
