Not too bad

Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2003
I lived in Stafford Pointe from 1998-2003 before buying my first house. Overall, I was pretty happy. The maintenance staff was usually very prompt fixing any problems (same or next day). I did have some noisy neighbors, but my complaint was resolved quickly. One thing I did like was that everything was very convenient (shopping, interstate access, etc). They tend to go through managers every 18 months or so, but that's pretty normal for apartment complexes. My building was kept clean on a regular basis. The snow removal, however was another story..in a word, it sucked. The sidewalks remain icy until they finally get to them, and because of the way the parking areas are designed, it is very difficult to remove snow, so be advised. My 2 bdrm apartment was very roomy, but do not buy the story about how efficient the geo-thermal system is. My electric bill averaged 80-100 bucks a month..keeping the upstairs cool (70-72) caused the unit to run almost non-stop in the summer months. My house only runs 65 or so, so be prepared to shell out some bucks to Cinergy. The rent will usually increase $10-$15 each year when you renew. The pool and clubhouse are nice and overall, if I had to go back into an apartment, I would consider this place again.
