They charge $50 to fill out a verification of rent form for my mortgage company when I decided to buy a house. I work as a processor in the mortgage industry and these forms are very easy to fill out and no other company that I have run across has ever charged anything for this service. This is a junk fee that probably goes right into the managers pocket. If you move in and intend to buy a home make sure this is removed from your lease or clarify this point. They will offer you a pay history report for free but it is lacking key identification elements that make it useless to underwriters.
