Of course I've had some problems, but overall this place is really nice. I lived in the ghetto before moving here, maybe that's why I can appreciate the neighborhood. There are some jackasses with loud music and bass that drive through here at all hours, but you would have that living anywhere. I haven't had many parking issues, but all of us live here alone, so maybe that is why. The appliances are outdated, but they still work! The dishwasher does sucks, but I think most dishwashers in older apartments do suck! My neighbors are generally quiet and respectful of the rest of us. The neighborhood kids are loud, but kids are loud so why be bothered' The way the property looks is so nice. I love coming home in the spring and at night. The way this place looks at night is beautiful! The place is definitely quiet, much quieter than in the ghetto. I can open my windows and not be bothered by the noise of domestic disputes, gunshots, or fireworks. Instead, I hear lots of birds, cars drive by occasionally, and kids playing depending on the time of day. My floor plan is great. It feels much bigger than it really is. I have a ton of closet space and outside storage too. Another thing is that it is safe! I can leave my window open when I leave or sleep and I don't have to worry that someone will break in. I've never had anyone break into my car either. As for the geothermal heating, no it isn't hot heat coming out of the vents. But it's not supposed to be! Put on a sweater or cover up with a blanket! Susan is not exactly friendly, I will agree with that. But I don't take it personally. I only go in the office to pay my rent so I don't really care how the office staff is. However, they are generally friendly when I go in. Plus, there is a group of older gentlemen that hang out in there that are great! They even have their picture on the wall in the office! The only real issue I have is with lazy community members who drive their trash to the dumpsters, and the ones that throw trash towards the dumpsters and miss then drive off. But it's just a pet peeve of mine I guess.
So in summary, I have lived here for a year and a half, and I am considering signing another lease. I have had minimal problems while living here, and really enjoy the community. This place has faults, as would any place. I look for quiet and safety in a place to live, and this place sure beats the ghetto!
The pictures are from winter. I mainly took them to send to a friend back in England so she could see how much snow we had gotten. So they aren't great pictures but gives you an idea that they DO remove snow!
