Not a bad place to live...
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 3/5/2007
Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I've lived here for almost a year now and I can say that this is not a bad place to live. I absolutely love the space in the apartment. I ve had to call for maintaince twice and they came with in a few min one time and the second time was not during business hours but they came in about an hour. The dishwasher works great and so far the neighbors are friendly.
On the negative side, I don t think my 2br apartment is worth $700 dollars a month. It s nice but not that nice. The cabinets are old, the water in the shower drains slow (they came out to fix it but didn t a good job), it looks like they painted wall paper over the closet doors which is starting to bubble up. When it snows there is NO where to park because they don t do a good job plowing the lot although they are good about plowing the walk ways.
Apparently there is a girl about 18 who lives on the fist floor and she finds it necessary to prop the door open every other day so that her friends can come in, you can smell Now there is a girl and her baby living there and they are beyond loud. Also in the winter the air just flows through the windows leaving me with a high nipsco bill.
I plan to move when my least is up because the unit itself is a nice one and I do like living there but it s just not worth $700. There are many apartments in the area that are newer and cheaper. Maybe everyone that moves there are figuring that out because it seems like someone moves out of my building every 3 months. If your willing to pay for it I say move in.
