Lake Point

 

My husband and I have lived here for a little over 2 years.

I will agree they are the nicest apartments in Portage, but they are not without their problems.

The insulation is terrible and the construction is cheap.

In the winter we put plastic on our windows, it is that bad.

Maintenance replies very quickly but they are constrained in what they can do.

We have a bathtub with the bottom caving in and they will not replace it.

Disposal has needed repairs 6 times.

Dishwasher is cheap and does not always work properly.

Stove with overhead microwave is great.

Recently sold to new owners.

Staff in office is very rude and unfriendly.

Grounds fairly clean.

Owners are cheap and seem to cut corners on cost whenever possible.

For example, exchanged larger dumpsters for smaller ones that now almost overfill before pickup.

Renewed in September and in October they tried to add a $10 water fee to the rent (water included already in lease agreement).

After many complaints and threats by multiple residents to go to their lawyers, they rescinded, but have already told residents will be adding this fee with next rental renewal.

Like the private entrances, washer/dryer hookups, and large closets.

I would recommend this place if the rent was cheaper.

Do not feel is completely worth the price.
