This was without a doubt the worst place I have ever rented from. Maintenance and Management were very quick to rush to judgment against residence. Maintenance is prompt but quick to point a finger and call clogged toilets, clogged drains, and dishwasher malfunctions the fault of the residence. More than willing to tow your vehicle. Very low tolerance of ANY noise....HELLO it is an apartment with thin walls and you can usually hear everything going on around you. That is apartment living when the apartments constructed poorly people moving in should be aware of that and expect it as the apartment way of life. They have a VERY low tolerance for young children making any noise what so ever. It just seems that management is always complaining about some minor issues making it into mountains and threatening eviction.

No not scorned at all and I left there breaking my lease. My neighbor above me was evicted because their children were too loud. Funny though I never complained about them once, I actually understood kids are kids. I actually had The manager at the time along with Maintenance POUND on my door to swear at me and ask "where is your f-ing Son?" When I replied that he was not at home, the managers response was "OF COURSE HE ISN"T!", "He is out here setting off fire alarms and when I find him his ass is mine!!" My son was NO WHERE EVEN in the city of Shelbyville at the time let alone on the property pulling alarms, he was visiting his father in another city and I made a phone call and proved that to management. Did I get an apology? NO and not once had my son ever been in trouble for for anything on the property. We weren't loud music people and neither was anyone else in our building. We did have a small Parrot and were asked to get rid of it because it talked too much and whistled too much during the day NEVER at night and it was not loud. Our neighbors complained of the slightest bit of noise and even complained we were too loud when we were moving in on the first day. As far as Appliances not working please tell me how the resident is responsible for crud being deposited on dishes that had been rinsed before being put into the dishwasher? The manager of the property where we now live is very strict on upkeep of the property and we get along just fine, I have rented from him for several years now with absolutely no problems. We don't live like hooligans and we don't GRIPE every time our neighbors make a peep either. Go ahead and color me bitter if you like Im just telling you how it was when we lived there. Of course there has to be rules and people need to be considerate but if your living in an apartment community you should also have a little tolerance or maybe if you don't have tolerance and honestly expect every person and their children to be on their absolute best behavior at all times then perhaps it is you who should be in a house in the country. Children are children and they are learning and growing and do mess up and cry in the night sometimes and get excited and make noise in the hallway and yes misbehave. That doesn't mean neighbors have to call management at every little turn to get someone in trouble.

This is the opinion of a former resident scorned. The only logic behind anything stated here is that this poster is angry because they weren't allowed to live like hooligans while under management rule. Furthermore, "clogged toilets, clogged drains, and dishwasher malfunctions" -ARE- caused by the resident who is using them. Anytime I had those problems, maintenance was quick to respond, very helpful and very polite and professional. Tell the truth; cars are towed because you, knowingly, parked outside of your building's parking zone, children need to be kept under some kind of control while living in a congested area, and some residents do not want to be disturbed with BLARING MUSIC all hours of the night. Do you honestly expect there to be NO RULES??? If so, go buy yourself a house in the country, a million miles from everything.

This is the WORST run apartment complex I have ever seen. They are managed by Management Resources Development of East Lansing, MI. They have had several new faces in the office over the last two years, that I had lived there. They towed peoples car to get rid of the growing Hispanic population. They offer specials to get people in there and then evict them only a few months later. No one I have ever known of has ever moved out has not been taken to small claims court. The walls are paper thin you can often here your neighbors tv or music even if it is turned down low. When you move out: They will find any little damage to try to not give your deposit or even take you to court. The Maintenance man is horrible, he complains if they have to fix anything. He rides his noisy tractor all over the grass because they don't have a truck. There are way better places with more for your money (pool, work out center, etc.)look elsewhere or you will regret it. They offer only free heat which you can not control very well (it's either too hot or too cold - no thermostat).
