Decent place

When you pick your apartment, come on a big Notre Dame football weekend, around 11:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. That will quickly reveal where all the noise is, and what areas to avoid. The parties are usually under control and not terribly loud, but parking is ridiculous as other people have mentioned. When the students are not at ND, most move out. Then you can park right in front of your apartment. But when they come back in the fall and the parties start up, you'll be parking 20-100 spots away if you're in certain areas.
Recently, there have been 3 fires. Some suspect arson in the laundry rooms, so now they are only open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Personally, I feel safe here, especially considering it is an isolated incident (in my almost 2 years of living here).
The apartments themselves are some of the nicer-looking in the area (as far as non-luxury goes)... thick walls (but the doors transmit sound readily to the lobby), and the A/C unit is quite loud when it turns on (as it's near the bedroom). Mine came with a little, tiny, attached office. Kind of handy.
