I've lived there for three months now. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful. I have had two issues which required maintenance and they responded promptly and the staff followed up via phone both times to make sure the issue had been fixed to my satisfaction.
I believe some of the units have been remodeled, but mine hasn't. There's nothing wrong with it, it's dated and worn and needs to be remodeled. I think the carpet is new.
Being close to Notre Dame, I think there are a lot of students here, but it's very quiet. No noise complaints whatsoever. I live on the ground floor and the ceiling is well insulated for sound deadening.
Some people mention fires in the complex but in my experience this is not true. The complex is near a fire station, so you do hear the occaisonal fire truck.
I had a few roaches when I first moved in. However, they were dead by the time I saw them, so they must have sprayed before I moved in. The cause was a filthy trash compactor. I cleaned it up and did my own spraying - problem solved. There were also some fleas, but a DIY spray and vacuming took care of that. The previous tenants must have had a pet.
I'm happy enough with the place - quite place to live at a good price.
