The grounds of Irish Hills are beautiful. A number of our neighbors have bird feeders and we see a variety of birds and other wildlife from our backdoor. The fountain in the pond also helps reduce noise pollution during the summer. When we have our doors open, we can hear some traffic noise from the bypass 20. However, it is distant.

Our neighbors are quiet and respectful, even those with children. We have never been bothered by our neighbors' noise (i.e. the walls are well-insulated). Parking is always plentiful.

We've called maintenance about 3 problems and every time they came when they said they would and repaired the problems the first time. The office staff are friendly and follow up when mainenance comes to make sure the problem has been repaired.

Another thing this complex offers is a 30 day opt out period from the contract if things are particularly bad in the first month after moving here.

My wife and I have lived here for a little over 3 months. These apartments are among the most affordable in South Bend, particularly for what they offer.
