Nickel and dimed

Before I moved out of Irish Hills, I felt it was ok, not wonderful, but ok. The normal staff you deal with at the main office are nice. The apartments do not look great, but are liveable. Maintenance requests are a problem since it takes anywhere from a week to 3 weeks to get things done.
What has really annoyed me though was the upper management at move out. I had a $200 security deposit and was nickel and dimed and only got less than half of that money back I was charged $20 for cleaning the bathroom even though my family and I had taken all day to try and clean it. There was another $20 charge for a towel bar being bent which I have no clue what that is about; my whole family had helped me move out and they know the towel bar wasn't bent either. There was a $75 charge for the gas grill being missing. For one thing, a gas grill does not cost $75 and another thing, when I moved in, I knew I was never going to use th gas grill and really do not know what one looks like. I saw what looked like a grill in the oven. However, I found out later that it was just the top of the grill. So I am getting charged since there was no grill in the apartment to start with. When I talked with management about the towel bar, they said that it wasn't majorly bent, but there was a U shape. I didn't realize that I had to point out something so minor in the move in/move out sheet. I definitely recommend that you plan on not getting all your deposit back no matter how good of a job you do at cleaning during move out. My family and I had spent a good 4 hours cleaning the apartment at move out! Those 4 hours were cleaning, not moving things out.
