Saw The Writing on the Wall

I have been gone from the Pointe for six months now and I left because I too saw the writing on the wall. I was six months into my current lease and the current management at the time was fantastic. If i asked for something or needed a repair, the folks were there within a few hours. The girls were even so nice as to let my dog out a few times when I could not make it home from work in time to get him out. I approached the new management for a simple request to a two bedroom and was quoted nearly a 1000 dollars a month for a 2 bdrm because of "upgrades." Now let me tell you upgrades consisted of new carpet, updated appliances, and new light fixtures. BOGUS! They also let me have the option of upgrading my current model for 175 dollars extra every month. After deciding to leave, it took 5 months to get my deposit check back... Yes, 5 months. I had to threaten to take them to small claims to actual get a check cut; and then they said they would overnight and it arrived 5 days later. The new management is rude, discourteous, and unknowledgeable about the South Bend rental market. Capreit has no clue how to run the Pointe as evidenced by the giant "NOW LEASING" signs on the front lawn. Under Shelter there was never ANY open units. All I have to say is good riddance to Capreit, sorrowfully I do miss the Pointe though. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq
