I've lived at Riverside North for 4 years now, and had to laugh at some of the other reviews. Just because of how true they were! I don't think Riverside North is necessarily a bad place - I've stayed at worse - but it's definitely overpriced. I couldn't tell you how many times the office/maintenance staff has changed in the past 4 years, but at least 4 or 5 times. Maintenance is slow and often-times inadequate and requires multiple trips. Our balcony was torn down last year and not put back up for months. The sidewalks are hazardous in the winter. Only recently has management FINALLY started to make owners put their dogs on leashes and pick up after them. The noise from the Steel Warehouse does literally shake the apartment sometimes, although it's not an everyday occurrence. We stay because there are positives as well - we feel relatively safe here (our apartment was broken into a few years ago, but hardly anything was taken and we haven't had a problem since). The pet policy is good. It's a good sized apartment. And we're too lazy to move! Hopefully we won't be here much longer, though. I'm not recommending this place because I think that you can probably do better in South Bend. But it isn't awful.
