I too lived in the building next to the warehouse. yes now and then it gets loud from the warehouse. However upon viewing my apartment I took the warehouse into consideration. One thing is the factory was built and in place far before the apartments were built. I lived at Riverside North a year and never had a problem with noise. I knew i would hear some from the factory then Lock Joint Tube. what ever happened to going and talking to your neighbors'

You must fall into the saint category. Although I think in a few years from now, when I am no longer living in this apartment, and living in a noise free zone somewhere else, it will be a lot easier to get nostalgic and look at this place with "fond" memories. It doesnt matter whether the warehouse came first or the apartments. We are here together existing in the same time frame right now, is all that matters. In my opinion, the apartment management ought to have a discussion with the warehouse and reach an agreement regarding noise levels. Industries located within a residential area are subjected to follow noise ordinance policies, and it is obvious that the warehouse has been in violation of this, but nobody cares to do anything about it. I dont know how noisy things were in 1996, but more than a decade later, the noise i presume has escalated quite a bit from the want to do nothing about it. What happened to talking to your neighbors? Getting the door slammed in your face, is what happened. On my encounter number one with noisy neighbor, I politely requested them to keep the noise levels down (and would even have brought them cookies as a thank you gesture had they agreed to keep it low or at the least apologized for creating a disturbance). Their response - a snarky "there is nothing we can do about the noise". On future encounters, all I had was a door slammed in my face. So yes, whatever happened to talking to your neighbors?
