good if low-income

1st off--the apartments are GORGEOUS! for the price. if you are eligible for section 8, then this is the place for you! double balconies/patios in each apartment, spacious rooms, and HUGE closets. w/d hookups are awesome as well. however, the windows and sliding glass doors are sealed HORRIBLY and you need to cover them in plastic in the winter or you will freeze/have a huge nipsco bill. the smoke detectors are overly sensitive, steam from boiling water sets mine off periodically.
winter-time maintenance is rather disappointing. during a bout of freezing rain the parking lot and sidewalks were VERY dangerous. and the lights in the parking lots go on and off randomly.
but for about $150-200 less than any other place in town (again under low-income guidelines), and not in a slum, this is a great place to live. quiet neighbors, i never hear mine.
also, the office staff is useless. don't even bother talking to them if you don't have to. asking for a receipt for paying rent is like pulling teeth. they open late on weekends (unacceptable when it's the 1st and you need to pay your rent!) and close early during the week if the boss isn't there.
