We lived at Orchard Ridge Apartments from 5/1/2008 to 11/1/2008. At first the office ladies were really good about getting stuff do such as with Maintenance and just general questions. We even lived across from the maintenance staff so if we had any problems we could talk to them and get things done faster than even having to talk to any management. Then it seemed like everything changed...fast. There were hardly ever parking spots close to our apartment. I personally almost got ran over at least 3 times when we lived there, just by other residents driving around there, at least one of our appliances didn't work almost everyday we lived there, whether it was the dryer, the dishwasher, or the garbage disposal. Then we decided we couldn't afford the rent anymore due to my husband's company slowing down, so we let them know we were moving and we turned off our electricity. The office ladies came in, and cleaned out our refridgerator which they notified us was a must to do. They not only cleaned it out, but borrowed the company's golf cart and loaded up the things out of fridge. They also went through the apartment and took my bottle of prescription medication. This was all told to us by our nice neighbor Maintenance people. They called the owner of the apartments and the action that followed was the head office lady of the apartment ended up getting fired and the lady below her was promoted and given her position. I have had the woman now working in the office come to my work because we owe Orchard Ridge money for breaking our lease. We ended up owing 3 months rent which total a little more than $2,100. We are now going to court for all of this. Stay away if you can. There are better places out there. Younger adults beware, they think they can take advantage of you!!! We also had peeping toms in the middle of the night.

I would guess these people are being evicted. This is a very nice complex and the people who work there are good hard working people. They are just throwing out the trash. Thats why we live here.

"Anonymous"- do you actually live there and if so can you honestly tell me there aren??????t horrific security, appliance and parking issues (not to mention the constant maintenance that is required for each aging apartment)? You either 1) do not live there or 2) work for the company. I lived there far longer than most people and it is an overpriced dump- If they want to throw out the trash start with throwing out the old appliances and there BS policies.

I second that!

I am sorry to say but the maintenace crew is terrific. Also through the changes of all the managers and property owners the maintinence has stuck around and dealed with the ATTITUDES FROM ALL OF THE MANAGERS EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN THERE LONGER.With little pay and no benifits.I always see the maintinence around the property .And the manager IS NEVER IN HER OFFICE.
