I am a current resident here with my husband and we have gone through nothing but hell since we moved here in August. Even though the living area is decently nice (in most cases) and comfy...don't let that fool you. Lets see...where do I even start. My husband and I started looking for places to live in November of 2007. We knew we were early but we were in the process of planning a wedding so we wanted to get it done. Anways...to make a long story short-we couldn't sign a lease yet because they didn't know who was renewing...so they just had us pay a deposit and they would let us know if we got a small one bedroom or a large. So we got a call in March saying we got a large...that was it. We were on our honeymoon in June and they called and asked if we were still interested in the large one bedroom...and we said yes....we've paid a deposit. We didn't want to deal with it on our honeymoon so when we got back we called them again. We were informed that they no longer had any one bedroom apartments...even though we paid a deposit...and never heard ANYTHING about coming to sign the lease for it. Come to find out...they LOST our deposit check. To make up for it...they offered us a 2 bedroom furnished for the price of an unfurnished (for those of you that don't know...that's only $50)...still $150 more than we were going to pay with the large one bedroom furnished. Well, we had to take it because there was NOTHING left (because it's JUNE)...everything 1 or 2 bedroom was pretty much taken on campus and all the other off campus places were taken or still too much. Then it came time to move in, they didn't even have the right keys. They said to wait 15 minutes and we would have them...that turned into an hour. They had to give us a "model" place because that was the only 2 bedroom they had for us (how nice huh') and they had a tv in here for display and it took them 2 weeks to come get it. We had problems with the water smelling badly of sulfur and knew that there was something you could do with the water heater to rid the smell...so called them and it took them a month to come out and fix it. And to top it all off...we are struggling badly with money (mosly because we didn't budget to pay this much a month...including all their other stupid fees they charge to drain you) BUT we have still paid EVERY month ahead of time except for december. we weren't going to be able to pay the full amount by the first so we tried to call them for two weeks and they NEVER called back. Finally we got a hold of them and they would hardly work with us. We have to have 1/2 of it paid by Dec. 15th...not a day later or they will file for eviction and then when we pay the rest of that by the first of the new year...we have to have the remainder, january's rent, AND februarys rent. I don't know much about management but I do know that I have lived in 2 other apartment complexes in my life and they were VERY good at making payment plans with you when you couldn't do it all at once. So...in conclusion...I hate this place and would NEVER EVER EVER recommend it to ANYONE! And I hope they read these because they really need to know how much they suck! Oh and the internet is PATHETIC as well! Sorry for the long complaint but I just want everyone to know how horrible they are and all they want is money...they don't give one care about you.
